At Almia Hotel Group, we are deeply grateful and excited to welcome Hostal Sa Rascassa, a place with its own soul and a heartwarming story written by Óscar and Merche.

This unique corner of the Costa Brava, located in the idyllic Cala d’Aiguafreda, has been the life’s work of a couple who decided to leave their life in Barcelona behind more than two decades ago to fulfill a dream: to offer sincere, unpretentious hospitality in an unparalleled natural setting.

Since their arrival in 2002, Óscar and Merche have turned Sa Rascassa into much more than a hotel. They transformed an old 1916 vacation house —which was also home to a cove watchman, a boarding house, and a diving center— into a refuge where every guest feels like they’re staying at a good friend’s house. With no prior experience in the hospitality industry, but with a lot of heart, they sold everything and threw themselves wholeheartedly into this project.

Āmila Hotel Group proudly and respectfully assumes the responsibility of continuing that vision. We are committed to taking care of every detail, maintaining the intimate atmosphere, honest cuisine, and close treatment that have made Sa Rascassa such a beloved place.
